When I see an area of a city which has become run down and abandoned I can’t help but think of the lives of the people who lived there.  Windows through which people watched for loved ones, checked the weather, felt the warmth of the strengthening sun on a cold spring day.  The disappointment then forgiveness when one of those windows was broken by a stray ball or miss-thrown frisbee only to be destroyed to provide one last spike of emotion to an inconsiderate thug.

Hours and Hours of Operation… but no more.

This morning, somewhere in or near the city of Loydminster, AB/SK, there is a very disappointed oilfield worker.  Let’s hope he has invested in an extra pair of boots and collectively wish for his day to get better.

“Where is my foot?”

“Do you have my foot?”

“Perhaps you?”

“A foot may as well be infinity out here.”
